About

We are a family living with Mesothelioma (my husband was diagnosed recently) which we found out is genetic. We have two daughters and this is our story.  Bear with me as I write out my thoughts, rants and raves.

  1. Laura,

I spoke to Eric Goldberg today and I am heartbroken to hear all of this news. What can I do? Does John want visitors? Can we bring some dinner for you? I don’t know how/where to reach you.

You are showing great strength right now,

  2. Your husband is a fantastic teacher at my daughters’ school. He taught three of my nieces as well as my daughters. I’ve always been so impressed by how he made music fun and accessible for them. I am so sorry to hear about his illness and what you’re family is going through. We recently lost my father to stomach cancer and I know the difficult stage you are in right now. I wanted to let you know that your entire family is my prayers. Also, I wanted to see if I could help in anyway, bringing some meals to you or grocery shopping, or if you even wanted someone to talk to. I don’t want to invade your space but don’t know how to get in touch. I’m including my email so please, feel free to reach out at any time. If nothing else, I’d recommend the book “Final Gifts” if you haven’t read it already. This book changed how we communicated with my dad at the end, allowing us to have some incredibly beautiful, uplifiting, and spiritual moments with him before he passed. We would have missed them if we hadn’t read the book. God bless your entire family.
